About Dr. Gekhman
I believe in patient-centered psychiatric care that is thoughtful, compassionate, and tailored to the individual. My approach is informed by mindfulness, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and psychedelic medicine.

• Undergraduate and medical training at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
• Psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where I served as the senior resident in charge of the psychodynamic psychotherapy program.
• Former inpatient psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
• Ketamine medical provider training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
• Medical licensure in NY, NJ, CT, as well as FL telehealth registration.
• Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Current work
• My outpatient practice offers both medication and psychotherapy treatment.
• Ketamine assisted treatment in collaboration with NY Integrative Psychiatry.
• Psychotherapy supervisor, lecturer, and assistant clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai psychiatric residency program.
